Log into your Shopify store as an admin and search for the Webtrends Optimize app.
This document will guide you through the installation process.
Log into your Webtrends Optimize UI account. Keep this tab open.
2. In Shopify, click to install the Webtrends Optimize app. You will see this screen, it is a standard Shopify screen listing permissions that we require. Click "Install".
3. Click "Connect".
4. Select the Webtrends Optimize account that you would like to install into your Shopify store.
5. You will see this screen. From here, either use the "Manage" link in the Implementation Status section, or click the "Implementation" tab in the left hand navigation.
6. From here, click to install the Pixel, which automatically captures Shopify metrics for all experiences you run.
7. Click to install the JavaScript snippet - our tag. This takes you to the theme editor. Toggle on the Webtrends Optimize script and save.
8. Return to the main admin screen (click the exit icon in top left). To see your Pixel successfully installed, click settings from the bottom of the left nav and select "Customer events".
9. To preview the Pixel metric capture, click the 3 dots and "Test".
10. Navigate around your store website and observe the events accumulate in the helper tool.
11. To verify the tag is on the page, go to your site. Open dev tools (F12), select the network tab, filter for wt.js and refresh the screen. If you see the request with a 200 status then the tag is live on your site.
