These videos will show you how to get the best performance out of Webtrends Optimize. It’s a good idea to watch them in the sequence they are shown. All bar one video is less than six minutes in length and provides simple instructions that are easy to follow.

Overview of Webtrends Optimize

This video will give you a flavour of how to get the most out of our application. It’s a twelve minute video providing detailed ways of starting your experimentation process.

Step 1 – Installing the Google Chrome Extension

You will need to ensure that the Google Chrome extension is installed first as this will reveal essential menu items. Watch the video to see how.

Step 2 – Learn about Locations

Understanding what Locations are all about and how to create and use them to make your experiments easier to build.

Step 3 – Understand the CRO Process

Make yourself familiar with conversion rate optimisation process. Understanding what to do and when to do it is an important part of getting a solid foundation for all of your tests.

Step 4 – Which type of test should I choose?

There is one further piece of information you may need before you begin. What type of test should I run? AB, ABn or Multivaritate. Find out here.

Step 5 – Dashboard overview

The dashboard is a centralised area where you can see an overview of your experiments and drill down to access more information or launch your tests.

Step 6 – Creating your first A/B test in the Visual Editor

If you have followed all of the previous stages, view this easy to follow, step-by-step guide to building your first test within Webtrends Optimize.

Step 7 – Creating a Target in the Visual Editor

There are times when you don’t need to run an AB test, you may just want to focus some revised content to a particular audience. This video will cover off creating a very simple target.

Step 8 – Segmentation

Learn the basic principles of segmentation and how to select your audience. This will help you to create different audiences to ensure the right people are included in your tests.

Step 9 – Create an experiment in the Advanced Editor

Use the Advanced Editor to easily upload code into pre-defined sections to create your experiments faster.

Step 10 – Set your test live

When your experiment is complete you need to do some basic checks to see if it performs as you expect before you set it live.

Step 11 – Asset Library

Webtrends Optimize Asset Library allows you to store and maintain all of the things that you may need to build successful experiments. These include images, scripts, videos, and fonts.

Step 12 – Reporting

Understanding the results of your experiments is fundamental to their success. This video will show you how to find and interpret the outcomes and what they mean.

One of the first tasks is to install the Webtrends Optimize tag on your website. See how. You will need to have downloaded the Chrome extensions to discover your individualised tag.

Adding users and roles
